The main fact we need to keep in focus is that neither the Declaration of Independence nor the Constitution melded the states into one national government. We have a FEDERAL system of govt, which means the states are still, as from the beginning, sovereign entities which are meant to govern themselves. By the Constitution, they formed a FEDERATION for the limited purpose of defense and mediation among the states, The creation was never meant to take ruling power over the creator, as it has done.
"A federal law that violates the Constitution is no law at all. It is void and of no effect."
We are currently living in an idiocracy, which is a democracy where most voters have no understanding of basic econumics, let alone the principles of free enterprise and liberty. We are overwhelmed by them in number, which in a democracy (yes, I know we are not SUPPOSED to be a democracy, but we have become one!, means 51 % of the people are bought off with the fruits of the labor of the other 49%
It is frustrating to know that there are enough of us that DO understand basic economics and the principles of free enterprise and liberty to populate several small states and, if we would only separate out from the states where there is no hope of success and gather in states where we can make a difference, and were the Constitution followed and those states be governed at the state or lower levels, those of us who know better could live happy and prosperous lives in them and pass that on to our children.
We will never convince liberals of the truth. Education or persuasion to our side is NOT the answer ansd will not work. Out only hope for freedom in our lifetime and for our children is to assemble together in several states and stand on the Constitution contract.
Unfortunately, the power elite is wicked smart and they are importing third world aliens both illegal and as "refugees" who they can easily buy off into dependancy, so it is a race--they may overwhelm us before we can even establish ourselves in these small states,
We need to quickly establish a positive feedback system of Constitutionalists coming because Constitutionalists are there.
The Free Montana Project is devoted to restoring the complete governing power and authority which was retained by every state in the compact between states which was the US Constitution, except for the "few and defined" "enumerated powers" specifically delegated to the federal govt in the US Constitution.
The governing authority of the states has been illegitimately usurped by the federal government, slowly at first over the past 200 years, but now with such usurpation happening exponentially at a breathtaking rate.
Soon it will be too late to protect ourselves from it. Our own govt is already arming itself against us to prevent "civil unrest" and killing or imprisoning dissidents while we are too busy working our butts off just to survive under the stranglehold on free enterprize they have created with their crushing degree of taxation and regulation to object, so long as it's someone else and not yet us.
Imagine the State of Montana, rather than a bunch of politicians in a distant city, determining for itself the "objects which, in the ordinary course of affairs, concern the lives, liberties and properties of the people, and the internal order, improvement and prosperity of the state".
Imagine the State of Montana, rather than Washington D.C., determining its own policies on healthcare, housing, environmental protection, education, etc, etc, etc.
That is how our Founding Father envisioned it and set it up in our Constitution.
Imagine the State of Montana determining exactly which activites of the federal govt are authorized by our contract with the fed govt--the US Constitution--which delegated to it just a "few and defined" enumerated activities, mainly related to foreign relations with other nations and mediation between the states.
Imagine the State of Montana refusing to allow the fed govt to operate in Montana above and beyond those enumerated powers and protecting its citizens from such illegitimate and unconstitutional activities by the fed govt--that is, demanding adherence to our Constitution as written.
Imagine no more harrassment of Montana citizens by unconstitutional federal agencies such as the BLM, the EPA, the HHS, the Dept of Educ.
Imagine all legislation related to how we live our daily lives determined at the state or county level, where we can actually have some control and say over it.
Imagine the state of Montana collecting all federal income taxes into a Federal Tax Escrow Account, sending on to Washington only those funds that are required for the Contitutionally authorized activities of the fed govt and using the remainder to fund Montana state level authorized activities or to be returned to the taxpayer, rather than Montana citizens sending a huge portion of the fruits of our labor to Washington and receiving a small part of it back with strings attached.
Now imagine several such free and independant states taking such a stand and then, without the cental planning monopoly of Washington DC providing a stranglehold on innovation, competing for the kind of valuable, productive, prosperity procucing liberty-loving rugged individuals that built this country into the greatest miracle of prosperty of history.
Imagine state level govts based on prosperity and level of freedom they offer rather than on the corruption and political rhetoric that govern when all states are governed mainly from Washington central planning bureaucracies.
And imagine that spreading like wildfire.
The REALLY GREAT NEW IS THIS:
WE CAN DO THIS! WE CAN HAVE THIS!
We have a piece a paper, a signed contract--the Constitution--that we can hold in our hands and show the world (and the tyrants in Washington) which clearly shows that the fed govt has gone WAY outside the authority delegated to it in this contract and we have the clear rights and authority, even duty, to disregard all illegitimate actions not delegated to in the contract.
All we have to do is get a governor and state legislature willing to tell the emperor that "he has no clothes".
The Solution: Plan of Action
Reclaim the Montana Rebublican Party--the principles are correct--it's just that too many, not all, in the established leadership have gone astray and ventured into crony capitalism, influence peddling, power hunger, liberalism, undue compromise of principles and a "go along to get along" mentality.
Election Reform: Reform election rules and law that are allowing the Democrats to choose our nominees.
Recruit Constitutional Conservatives to separate out from the idiocracies in states where they form a tiny, ineffective minority and to gather in the states like Montana and Wyoming where there is still hope for a return to adherence to our Constitution.
Recruit and Support Candidates for Governor and State Legislature who are willing to stand up to the feds and take back the Constitutional state level govt authority we already possess.
Re-Declaration of the Enumerated Powers: Produce a document listing legitimate and illegitimate federal departments, agencies, laws, rules, executive orders, and other activities which will be accepted or ignored by the State of Montana as appropriate. Determine exactly where the fed govt has gone outside its authority and what authority was left with the states.
Interposition: The governor, state legislature and county sheriffs must protect state citizens from illegitimate fed activities, laws, agencies and their rules.
Federal Tax Escrow Account: A Federal Tax Escrow Account must be established both to defund the unconstitutional activities of the fed gov and to keep the money in Montana to provide for those activities rightfully and constitutionally managed by the State of Montana.
Imagine the prosperity in Montana that will follow such a plan!
Follow the above links for further discussion of each item in the plan and join us.
It is estimated that only 3 % of the American colonists were supportive of and assisted in the American Revolution. Be part of the 3% that will save our country in this Second American Revolution. We can do this!
This coup of our govt has taken at least a hundred years incrementally to happen, and we have come to think of it as normal and unchangeable, That is not the case. We can undo it right now, We cannot afford to tinker around the edges. We must go by the Constitution every time, every issue
time for action picture
horse tied to chair
we must only recruit and support candidates for goveron and legislature who will commit to stopping every unconstitutional action of the fed within the State of Montana,.
Our mission is to recruit, support, and encourage state legislators and governors who believe in the following principles are willing to commit to actively carry out the necessary enforcement detailed.
The US Constitution--NOT the fed govt or any of its 3 branches--is the supreme law of the land.
As a creation of the states, the Constitution delegated a "few and defined" "enumerated powers" to the federal govt.
Any activity of the fed govt is legitimate only when it is "pursuant to" the Constitution--i.e., within the powers delegated to it.
The "General Welfare Clause" does NOT expand the enumerated powers but rather says that any use of those enumerated powers must be for "the GENERAL welfare of the states", not for the specific welfare of any state, individual or special interest.
The "Necessary and Proper Clause" does NOT expand the enumerated powers to include anything and everthing the fed govt feels is "necessary and proper", but rather says that the use of those enumerated powers is limited to only what is "necessary and proper" to carry them out.
The "Interstate Commerce Clause" does NOT expand the enumerated powers to include anything and everything remotely related to commerce or trade, but rather gives the fed govt the power and duty to "regulate" interstate commerce--AND the definition of "regulate" in the clear meaning of the time and as clearly shown in the federalist papers--is "to make regular", i.e. unimpeded by things like state-to-state tariffs, etc., i.e. to MAKE FREE-FLOWING--certainly NOT the definition we have today of "to control and restrict.
Any Constitutional candidate for governor or state legislature should be willing to openly commit to these:
1. Nullification: Resolution by the state legislature that fed govt actions outside the clear meaning of the enumerated powers it was given in the Constitution are null and void and of no effect or consequence within the state of Montana.
2. Interposition: Resolution by the state legislature that, not only will agents of the state of Montana be forbidden from assisting the fed govt in unconstitutional action, but further, unconstitutional federal action will not be tolerated within the state of Montana and federal agents attempting such action will be charged and prosecuting. I.e., the State of Montana will reclaim its sovereign duty to protect the lives, liberty and property of its citizens.
3. Declaration of Enumerated Federal Powers: a document produced and kept current by the state legislature, clarifying and classifying which fed agencies and which of their regulations are within the enumerated powers--for the purpose of allowing those actions and passing on the fed taxes justified for those activities--and which fed agencies are, by their very existence, outside Constitutional authority and should not exist.
4. Federal Tax Escrow Account: Account owned by the State of Montana for the purpose of collecting all state and federal taxes and passing on to the federal govt that portion that is allocated to Constitutionally authorized federal functions.
5. Federal-Proof Banking System: Private banks in Montana that are not controlled by feds and whose accounts cannot be attached except by the state of Montana, and whose depositors are protected from the feds by the state of Montana.
6. Consolidation of Constitutional Conservatives. We must unite or die. In the democracy--tyranny of the majority--that our country has been "fundamentally transformed" into, our last and only hope for return to Constitutional govt is to separate out from that mob into the few states where we can become a majority and have an effective voice. We must encourage immigration of Constitutional Conservatives to Montana, while discouraging immigrations of those who do not hold our founding values, e.g. third world immigrants raised up in the culture of corruption and hatred of American values.
