From now until the Primary Election 2020, our mission will be to evaluate the candidates based on their potential to serve bravely and effectively as Constitutional Conservatives on the front line of the war against the completely unlawful explosion in federal tyranny that is killing our country.

We have not, in our lifetime, experienced Constitutional government, but it is our birthright, our inheritance, and it is time to demand the return to it. This train starting derailing a long time ago...it's almost too late to get it back on track.

            ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Following are the actual words of the founders of our country and the fathers of the Constitution which made us the most free and prosperous country to ever exist on the face of this earth.  They were NOT extremists and it is NOT extremism to demand adherence to the clear language of that Constitution.
Tenth Amendment:
The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution,
nor prohibited by it to the States,
are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people.
"The powers delegated by the proposed Constitution to the federal government are few and defined. Those which are to remain in the State governments are numerous and indefinite. The former will be exercised principally on external objects, as war, peace, negotiation, and foreign commerce; with which last the power of taxation will, for the most part, be connected. The powers reserved to the several states will extend to all the objects which, in the ordinary course of affairs, concern the lives, liberties, and properties of the people, and the internal order, improvement and prosperity of the State."  ~~James Madision, father of the Constitution, Federalist Paper #45
"If Congress can employ money indefinitely to the general welfare, and are the sole and supreme judges of the general welfare, they may take the care of religion into their own hands; they may appoint teachers in every State, county and parish and pay them out of their public treasury; they may take into their own hands the education of children, establishing in like manner schools throughout the Union; they may assume the provision of the poor; they may undertake the regulation of all roads other than post-roads; in short, every thing, from the highest object of state legislation down to the most minute object of police, would be thrown under the power of Congress. ... Were the power of Congress to be established in the latitude contended for, it would subvert the very foundations, and transmute the very nature of the limited Government established by the people of America." --James Madison, 1792
The Free Montana Project is devoted to the election of Montana State Governors and Legislators who are Constitutional Conservatives, who are NOT federal supremacists, who still have hope for returning all governing authority back to the state level except for the "few and defined" "enumerated powers" delegated to the federal govt in the Constitution.
Decentralization of govt back to the states, i.e. the return of actual adherence to the 10th amendment, is our key to liberty, key to saving this country, and probably our last hope of it.
After that, there may be big govt states and small govt states.  Some good, some bad.  Some will want centralized, state level govt, others will want govt decentralized further to the local levels.  The Constitution is silent on that.  But there will be CHOICE, not monopoly.  And competition.
Unfortunately, most of the legislators who would agree to the above feel that it is hopeless to even try getting the necessary effective measures through that would accomplish this—that it is too much to try for, to much to even hope for.
With the primary elections coming up in June, here is what I would like to know from you, anyone reading this, if you don’t mind:
Do any of you know of any legislators or candidates who would likely not only agree to the necessary measures listed below, but would be willing to do so PUBLICLY, without fear of being mislabeled "extremist", and who may even be brave enough to sponsor the bills, but at least would vote for them if someone else did.
                       ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

THESE ARE THE ACTIONS NECESSARY by the governor and state legislature to reclaim the authority retained by the states in the clear language of our founding document:

1.

Resolution to nullify all federal activity outside of the enumerated powers given the fed govt in the Constitution and to not recognize unauthorized agencies within the massive Washington DC bureaucracy under the executive branch which are unconstitutionally writing law and enforcing such unauthorized “law”.

2.

Establishment of a standing committee to constantly monitor and determine what federal activities and agencies are within the enumerated powers listed in the Constitution and which are not.

3.

Interposition by the state of Montana, standing between the citizens of Montana and such unlawful federal activities—e.g., the determination to arrest and prosecute federal agents who illegally defy Montana’s nullifications and operate unconstitutionally and illegally within the state of Montana.

4.

State Banks:  Allowance by the state of privately owned but solely state-regulated banks that are prohibited from allowing seizure of a citizen’s assets by the federal govt or any of its agencies except through state permission after state regulated due process.

5.

Establishment by the State of a Federal Tax Escrow Account  to collect all federally mandated taxes on citizens of Montana and pass on to the fed govt only that amount which funds Constitutionally authorized federal activity and the remainder either utilize at the state level where those activities belong Constitutionally or return the funds to the citizens (probably a combination of both).

This last is the most seemingly radical step to generate support for, but due to the state and local addiction to federal funds with strings attached, we cannot win back our Constitutionally retained state sovereignty without starving the beast in Washington.  They will otherwise continue to use the fruits of our own labor to fight back and enslave us.  (I can send you sample bills that have already been sponsored in other states.  It is definitely within a state’s rights to protect its citizens from being forced to fund illegal activity!)

Note to fellow liberty warriors:  Please, please, please try to ignore the upcoming presidential election!!!  It is a total distraction from the really important work of taking our government back from Washington D.C.   Washington D.C. will NEVER, EVER, EVER fix Washington D.C.  no matter who we send there.  A centralized, bureaucratic govt NEVER limits its own power-that is not in its nature--its very nature is to grow continuosly like a cancer unless those in charge of controlling it--the states--stop it.  What matters are the governor and state legislator elections, because they are our only hope, our only defense against an ever growing and ever more tyrannical behemoth bureaucracy in Washington DC controlling every aspect of our lives.
